Sailing South on Solitude

John, Penni & Timmy 2024

Departing Tomorrow

We had a leisurely morning. John cooked eggs on toast for breakfast!
We gathered the last load to take off the boat and delivered it back to our house for storage. Our tenants were away so it was a good chance to catch up with some neighbors to see how they are doing. Then on to The post office to setup the mail forwarding.
We can't thank Jim and Ann enough for offering to receive all our mail and for receiving all the Amazon packages that miraculously arrived before 3pm today.
Our first port of call will probably be the Isle of Hope just south of Savannah, GA. It's probably a 7 hour sail/motor at about 5 knots. We will catch the outgoing tide down to Tybee Island and let the incoming tide suck us up the Savannah River. Then a few hours on the ICW to the Isle of Hope.
