I contradict myself I know. Today was about making plans for the next few days. We loved it at Gilbert’s and enjoyed a swim in the warm pool this morning, followed by lunch at the Tiki Hut. Unfortunately they didn’t have space for us tonight. Added to which, someone has his 59th birthday tomorrow. I wanted to make sure we did something special. I also do not want to pass through the keys without hitting the highlights. So we booked a snorkeling tour for tomorrow morning at 9:00 am in the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. It was a feat of organization. We moved to anchor this afternoon, took the dingy to shore, walked a mile to the snorkeling center, registered and bought the snorkeling gear we wanted whilst we are here. We then walked back and returned to the boat by dinghy. We booked Timmy into Doggie daycare for the morning and checked that Uber and Lyft are easy to book. Lyft says it takes dogs at the driver’s discretion so hoping we get lucky. We also booked the next marina that Jim suggested - Plantation Yacht Harbor Marina for Friday and Saturday. It is nice for Solitude to revisit some of her favorite stomping grounds. For now, we have just enjoyed leisurely pre-dinner drinks on the boat while watching the sun go down. Not that we are really having dinner, but egg on toast must count for something.
