Chacala Day 1
06 January 2010
More boats are coming in today....there goes our private cove! It is really nice here, fairly quiet and just pretty scenery. We heard the Banderas Bay net this morning and Andanzas checking in. I was able to relay to another boat who could hear us to let Wally & Linda know that we were nearby.
Swam a few times today as well as scrubbed along the waterline on the bottom paint. Comes off fairly easily. We'll have a harder time with farther down since we don't have weights or tanks but we get it down just the same.
Went ashore to walk around the small town and have a few drinks at the palapa bar. We met a Frenchman who came to the US in 1958 and his wife and him live in mexico for the winter and nice months in Montana. Got to hear a lot of French tonight between the Michel and all the other Canadians here. We rowed back after dark.....nice night.
