Hello Dear Friends and Family! John has a cold so we are delayed a couple days in our departure from Bora Bora. And the day is interrupted with intermittent sun showers making me less thrilled about the bike ride around the island I had counted upon to keep myself busy during his convalescence. So I am making an attempt to spruce up my blog site which was set up "on the fly" by Rebekah on our departure from Mexico at the last minute and has been somewhat neglected since. I have uploaded skads of photos and am now attempting to get them situated more conveniently on the page rather than only in a link. Therefore I will post a couple of my favorites in the midst of this posting for your consideration and enjoyment.

This is my favorite recent photo from the top of Mount Pahia. After a challenging but magnificent hike up we were allowed glimpses such as this when the clouds cleared for just an instant now and then and the startling colors shone in the sun. This was followed by a more grueling and equally magnificent slide back down steep wet rocky waterfall beds until on legs of rubber and covered in mud we stumbled back into town-- Definitely the highlight of our visit to Bora Bora.
We will leave Bora Bora tomorrow or the next day so if you are reading this on FB check out the blog site to catch up on our activities and "Take a peek" at the photo gallery. http://www.sailblogs.com/member/therose/ Always, --Pat and John and Sushi S/V The Rose
