Cabo San Lucas
25 June 2006 | Cabo San Lucas
Then once you round the rocks shown in the last shot, here is Cabo San Lucas in all its cash and carry, Rolex glory, complete with beach condos and money chasing its tail. I anchored out here for a day and then took a slip for a couple of days in Cabo San Lucas Marina for $137.50 US a day! Very pricey and the Marina knows next to nothing about sailboats, being full of motor yachts. The town I wandered around in was a disappointment. The cash grab effort was overwhelming. The tourists were prepackaged too. They oohed and aahed as they went. The way to destroy paradise is with lots of dollars, gringos and realtors.
