I am amazed that I am experiencing all these adventures . It is surreal in a way , like this is not allowed . It's like playing hooky from school and no fear of getting caught . I have been to the Azores twice before and I still find myself almost giggling just thinking about .
The mountain , Pico , is not on my agenda for climbing this time . I climbed it last time with Melissa and was crippled for a week and felt twinges for a month . I don't know if my knees ever recovered . I'll pass . I need a little more practice being a bum .
I have said it many times ..." everyone should get a year off " , to do whatever they want . Whether it is useful , productive or restorative , it does not matter . People in general work too much and enjoy not enough .
