Their comes a time when the sheer volume of odd jobs and repairs to Reliant scream for attention .I am a procrastinator , but when in port , Reliant needs some TLC. Propane refill , laundry , clean the cabin sole ,and go aloft to adjust a droopy spreader and replace a radar reflector that was blown to smithereens on the passage to Bermuda . In Horta , I replaced a rigging fitting that showed signs of future failure , so while aloft , I did a rig inspection of everything that is normally inaccessible . All's well on board .
The food here is inexpensive and excellent . Lunch out every day . Fresh fruit and vegetables are overflowing Reliant's larder . Life is grand .
