People always ask , what do eat out on the ocean for a couple weeks ? Well , I eat the same things I eat at home . Probably better . I have time to think about and prepare a meal instead of rushing trying to choke something down . In preparation for my upcoming passage to Madeira , I do prep meals in advance in case of rough weather . This time the passage is only five days , but preparation is the same for longer . I did make a lasagna and froze four big slabs . Also , I baked a pound cake . All good stuff . Typically , I use frozen vegetables too , but I do carry canned goods just in case . Breakfast is identical to home . Cereal , OJ , banana , poptart ......these are tough to find in the Azores and I am down to my last box . I have not found a suitable replacement . I keep trying though .
