Day trip to SINGAPORE -18 Oct

14 November 2011
Every-one wants to go to Singapore at least once in their lives. The trip in and out of the Island was a hassle, especially if you go by public transport – bus!
We left the boat at 8am, waited 30 minutes for a bus to arrive. Got off in the Johor centre onto another bus to the boarder. Got off walked for 5 minutes into the customs clearance centre, waited in queue to clear out then boarded another bus to go over the bridge onto the island and did the whole thing again! 30 minutes later and a quick snooze we were in the Singapore city. It took a total of 2 hours. Why if we just flew in it would have been so much easier and quicker. Now if you are thinking of going to Singapore from Danga bay go by taxi, it costs more but not so much hassle, our whole trip in cost about $10 AU.
The day itself was good but exhausting, we did the sight seeing things, brought some stuff and walked all over the place, our feet were just about to drop off. If your not into shopping there is no need to go to Singapore except to look around and maybe visit the zoo ( we didn't do), the prices are also similar to Australia. We had a great time looking around so now we can say we have been then.
