This morning I drove for a little over 2 1/2 hours. The conditions were perfect with the wind varying from 8 to 10 knots and a wave pattern that was easy to drive and maintain a somewhat steady heading of 245 degrees This was the longest I have driven (ever in my life!) during a race and I really started to get into the groove and was having a great time. Although it still took my undivided attention, towards the end it started becoming more natural and less reactionary. We're having a great run over the past 24 hrs and are starting to make up for our first night of no wind and little progress. We are upwardly mobile and starting to close the gap on the boats in front of us.
