Brad
That's our shift schedule. So far, I think it's working well. 3 hours driving in the middle of the night gets long, but the reward is 6 hours of uninterrupted rest afterwards (and before, for that matter).
So far we're making more East than I thought we would. I'm still debating whether we'll sail into the high and motor east, or tack up the south side of the high. Right now motoring in light wind sounds good relative to lots of heel and water over the bow....but I know to be careful what I wish for.
Have had some squalls, but only low 20's for wind so far in them. We've seen wind as far right as 120 deg, with our heading in the 60's, but that's usually brief and then followed by a lull that pretty much makes it a wash. Had a double rainbow today in a sun shower too.
I think Vince is still fighting a touch of sea sickness, but he's plodding along like a trouper. The menu has been pretty light anyway, so he isn't missing much.
