Well, the weather lived up to expectations, hence the lack of blogging activity. We've been power reaching for 48 hours in 16-22 knots of wind, with the logged miles, bumps and bruises to prove it. It was a 150% genoa and double-reefed main for a good chunk of it, though we shook out the reefs this morning as the apparent wind has moved abeam on its way aft.
I guess I pulled the trigger a bit too soon with the A6 spinnaker this morning. ...that, and overhoisting it resulted in ripping out the tack about 5 minutes after the set. No need for morning coffee when a couple of sail changes are on the agenda. We'll wait for a more comfortable angle before we try again with the A4.
Had a couple of seasick crew, but things are looking up all around.
More later...
