Brad
Looks like we'll cross the half-way point this evening. Our track no doubt shows a short jibe yesterday where the wind just didn't cooperate. We finally found the numbers we were looking for and pointed the nose at HI. I'm not sure if that was our last jibe, but at a capacity of about 2 jibes a day based on crew/shift availability, we have to think strategically. That's my excuse for not hitting every shift that comes our way :-) The rights make me feel like we'll make it, the lefts take a stiff upper lip.
We crossed a boat this morning, which we think is Cassiopeia based on position reports over the radio. I'm about to connect to send this and hopefully receive the complete standings to confirm. I'm guessing that Encore was a little surprised by our position this morning - like to think that we're keeping them on their toes.
It'll be nice to start counting down miles to HI rather than miles logged from SF! See you on the other side...
