Bangin' night

03 August 2016 | 29 40'N:152 16'W, 575nm from HI
Wasn't very easy to sleep last night with 18-20kts and lots of steep-backed waves. It's amazing how loud it is below, then you go up top and it doesn't seem that bad. ...except for the splashy waves. We decided to switch from wet mode to dry mode last night, with everyone's new foulies coming out. It worked out pretty well except for that damn one wave that sneaks through the halyard pass-thru on the dodger - that one always hits you right in the face. ...right as you're headed below.

Egg and bacon wraps for breakfast this morning. I think Tiki J is tired of starboard tack too, as we're finding a few new leaks around the gallley. The egg carton in the fwd pantry was soaked through, hence eating some eggs before they broke out on their own.

I'm starting to see the turn east, prob within the next two days. Even so, we have 24-36 hours before the wind lets up.
