Another longish day, this time with a following wind.... which wasn't quite strong enough to stop the sails crashing around so it was a noisy, rolly day. Just like 3 weeks on the ARC actually.

However, we made it to Peniche for 5pm and will have a quiet night, other than the fishing fleet leaving at full pelt rocking all the moored boats with their wash. I think they do it deliberately.

Peniche is busy fishing town, complete with its own jail right on the waterfront. Talk about a room with a view. The jail was used up to the 60's for political chaos who had a different point of view from the dictatorship. For their troubles they got a wee holiday by the sea.

The westerlies are now due to hold all week so we will keep moseying north watching out for the big lows heading our way. As long as they give 20 knots from the west or south west I'll be very happy. Next stop is either Nazare or Figuera de Foz tomorrow. 25 or 50 miles. We'll see how the wind blows.
