A Timeless Odyssey

Allures 45 (a thing of great practical beauty)

Water maker instalment 2

Well lots of back and forward to the Chandelry and Aquafax to get that little fitting you had not (could not have) thought of. I think I have had just about every bilge hatch and many mattresses of bunks. Had my head into double lockers under bunks, doing the contortionist piece inside the rudder compartment but finally I have all the plumbing connected up. Electric's still to come but that should be quite quick.
So looking forward to 30 litres of water from about 300 litres of sea water sometime soon. All that graft and about the only visible evidence of the water maker is this neat little tasting tap at the galley sink. The plan is that you can start up the water maker and run it to the tasting tap. When you are happy that any stale water is out of the system and there is no salty taste, you flip the 3 way valve under the galley sink and divert the water to the main water storage tank. Fingers crossed that it all works as planned.
