Flying back from South Africa tonight and going down to the boat on Sunday with the intention of setting sail for Brighton or Eastbourne on Monday. I am weather watching and Veronica has been in the UK getting the kids back in the nest after final exams. She has also been buying supplies. It is with some trepidation that I await to see how big the pile of "stuff" is that needs to go down to the boat on Sunday.

South Africa was great and the Wild Ride in the Transkei was tough, incredibly beautiful and well organised. Five days of beach riding, portaging bikes up impossibly steep Wild Coast hills and swimming rivers with bikes. Great to be with all my old buddies and that we can all still kick arse on a mountain bike.

Time to turn attention to sailing......watch this space.
