Panama - Day 1

The Rolex ended on Sunday with us ripping our #1 jib aboard Truant about 4 tacks into the first race. We abandoned the rest of the day's racing which allowed Laura and I the opportunity to return to Time Warp a little earlier than we had planned. It was just as well because we got a few things done Sunday afternoon and then the five us jammed all day Monday on errands getting ready for the passage.
A little snafu with customs caused us a delay in our transit from St. Thomas, USVI to San Blas, Panama. I had seen a customs office at the marina, but it turns out it is only open at very limited times. So when I went to check out at 1700 on Monday, the office wasn't open! That meant we had to drop anchor for the night and leave Tues. morn.
But we cleared out without too much incident (!!!) and are now on our way to the San Blas archipelago. Winds are fair -- 10-15k -- and seas are light. So the first day has been a good one so far with no one suffering seasickness.
