Family photo Hog Heaven Virgin Gorda

The only thing better than spending Christmas in the Caribbean is having your family join you.

That’s my brother Tim in the above picture, with his wife Ann and their daughter Lucie. They did a Sun Sail charter out of Tortola and we buddy boated around the BVI’s through the Christmas holiday.

Torben and I had to laugh at this picture because it was taken the first night together. He is standing out in left field. If the same picture were to be taken today, he said he would be right in there. It was an amazing bonding experience. Maybe it was the dinner up in Hog Heaven or the blind -folded rum tasting party. Or maybe lunch out at Cow Wreck Bay in Anagada, followed by the lobster dinner on the beach. Could have been Lucie’s birthday party, that started two days earlier with her dancing and lip singing to the song “Dancing Queen” down below on Tivoli. What ever it was it feels good to have made core memories and to re-connect with my brother.

My heart felt heavy as we parted ways. He heading to Peter Island and us to St. John.

Now we are anchored in Francis Bay amping up for a New Years celebration with fellow cruisers. I wonder if the cruiser midnight rule is in effect tonight. Every cruiser knows that 8 PM is midnight.
