The longest sea trial

Phil mid Atlantic between the BVI's and Azores, 2014
We said our goodbye to Tivoli on Friday - she has been a great boat for us. We raced her on the Bay and in the Ocean, vacationed on her for several seasons and then took her on a 9 year, 30,000 NM cruise to Europe and back. She always said 'yes' when we asked for more and never let us down.
The good news is that she will stay with us in the future as our friend Phil now is the new owner. He will keep her close by either at Richmond YC or Marina Bay before taking her on new journeys in the future.
Phil is no stranger to Tivoli and probably would qualify for someone having one of the longest sea trials know to man.
He raced with us on SF Bay, flew to Puerto Vallarta to race the Banderas Bay regatta in 2011, joined us in 2014 for 2,500 NM across the Atlantic to the Azores, came back for another Atlantic crossing of 2,900 NM from Lanzarote to the BVI's in 2017 and then did yet another trip to help us through the Panama Canal and cruise to Las Perlas Islands in 2019!
We were happy to return the favor and crew for Phil in a RYC beercan race of 3 NM last week!
We have hundreds of pictures of Phil from all the travels, but the above one is a clear favorite with him showing off his fishing skills mid Atlantic.
