Scuppers and Flica.
Yep we have just been horsing around for the last 10 days, waiting for weather to develop. Our next move is the outside route around Cape Hatteras towards Charleston, and it has not been pretty for a while.
We made good time of it hanging out in Deltaville for a night visiting with Andreas and Lisbeth for dinner one night before moving on Mobjack Bay's East River for 3 nights. Or was it 4? With weather systems blowing through, we made the best of it, anchoring in 10 feet of water next to a public boating ramp and a cool neighborhood with a small forest for Scupppers to explore.
Boat projects got completed, and we made friends with a few residents on the waters edge. One neighbor allowed us to feed his horses apples so Scuppers could play, another neighbor picked up a 12 pack of beer in Matthews, free of charge, as we were running dry. It was his birthday and the beer was his gift? Judy baked him a cake that we left in the mailbox just for good measure.
We are now tucked in yet again for a Gale in Yorktown for a few nights. But Sunday looks good for a run around Cape Hatteras going South. About time, as it is getting pretty cold around here.........
