We enjoyed our Thanksgiving Turkey leftovers for several days anchored in a pristine anchorage off White Cay. The anchorage could have held 30 boats, but for the 3 nights we spend the average was only 2.....200 yards off the beach made for easy Scupper runs 3 times a day.
After a brief overnight further down the chain we arrived in Nassau a couple of days ago to shop for some parts. We had some apprehensions about the Nassau thing, but as it turned out is is really nice and quite beautiful. The people are super nice and friendly and we have quite enjoyed it.
We managed to fix the water maker with the proper hose and today got the bilge pump done as well. Even found time for a bit of exploring, some conch fritters and a rum punch at the local sailor bar!
So tomorrow Friday we are off to the Exumas, now just 34 NM away. The weather seems to be cooperating with no big winter storms coming down, temps are around 80 during the day and high 60's at night making is very preasant.
