We remained at Jekyll Island yesterday and I am so glad that we did. We paid our $8 to the marina, landed our dinghy (this time we didn't have to walk a mile to get to the marina) and borrowed a bike for me - Kirby had his with him. We gathered up Rick and Tanya and away we went. These bikes were Beach Cruisers and my hands kept going out to the brakes and the bike wouldn't stop when I wanted it to! It had only been about 50 years since I rode a bike that used peddle brakes!

What a fantastic place this is. Probably people who live in the south know of it but I sure didn't. The most magnificent moss covered oak trees I have ever seen. We peddled through fern and palm filled forrests of these oak trees with the branches crossing over our heads.

We are off in an hour - in the rain - for Fernandina Beach, FLORIDA! Florida at last!
