26 February 2007 | Hamburger Beach, Georgetown, Exumas
We are still anchored at Hamburger Beach in Georgetown. The Regatta festivities have already begun and there are about 350 boats - that's about 700 people all vying for fresh eggs and romaine lettuce! The town is out of eggs right now - hopefully there will be some in today.
On Saturday we all went to the beach with our clippers and scissors and had haircuts. What a blast it was even if some of the men did get a little testy about getting the haircuts just perfect. Hey, what do they expect - we are learning on them! They were lucky they didn't get Mohawks! Kirby brought the generator so we would have power and we had snacks and drinks. After everyone was all groomed we had a great game of Mexican Train.
We might move to another anchorage today. Getting tired of the same view day after day - after all we have been in this same place for about a week now! We also might go away for a week or two and then come back. So if you don't hear from me for a while, you will know that that is what we have done. It really is crowded in here!
