Left Figueira da Foz with the prospect of wind and had the sails up soon after leaving harbour. Wind was behind us most of the day and we were sailing with the main on a preventer. Took the main down at dusk as we had turned the corner towards Lisbon and the main was shadowing the genoa and the following sea meant a high risk of gybe. Didn’t alter the speed any and we were averaging more than six knots. Around dawn the wind disappeared for a couple of hours before returning for a gentle and very nice sail towards Sines.
