Now on the Spanish side of the Spain/Portugal border in Ayamonte, looking to explore the Rio Guadiana over the next few days. Arrived last night after three sailing days - not much motoring thankfully but wind still meaning a lot of close hauled sailing. Stopped at Chipiona and Mazagon on the way back in a repeat of the journey down to Cadiz but with only one night in each. Ayamonte is a good little town for a sailing stopover as it has a well stocked chandlery, supermarkets nearby and a fresh food market in town. Good dog walks on the salt marsh too. Luckily it also has a vet a stone's throw from the marina which meant I could get an infected grass seed in Buzz's leg treated properly with antibiotics and painkillers. If it doesn't get better I can pop in again on the way down river.
