The Guinness tasted good

We arrived in Crosshaven last night after four and a half days and 555 miles. Timed perfectly to catch a couple of pints of Guinness and some tasty fish and chips in the harbour. We were met around five miles offshore by an Irish customs cutter and speedy rib who checked through our passports and wished us on our way. The powers of AIS meant they knew we had come from Spain before we had a chance to tell them. Crosshaven is perfectly peaceful today and the staff at the Boatyard Marina very relaxed and helpful. Topped up with a full Irish breakfast at a cafe overlooking the harbour, I changed the engine oil and am now getting the boat ready for Ewart to join tomorrow after Joel left for Switzerland this morning. It looks like a new boom will be required following the crossing damage and hopefully this can be supplied by Allspars in Plymouth on the way along the South Coast.
