Helford and Frenchman’s Creek

We rounded the Lizard yesterday and made it to Helford River in the early evening to pick up a vacant (unbelievably) mooring buoy. The dinghy was up in record time to go ashore to the Shipwrights Arms, which has its own dinghy pontoon. Left the pub after dark and had some trouble locating Topaz Rival among the large number of other white yachts in the moorings! Early morning was time to visit Frenchman's Creek for a decent dog walk. The creek must look the same as envisaged in Daphne du Maurier's famous historical love story of the same name.
