Safety service

Life jackets and the Jonbuoy MoB rescue module are off to be serviced at Ocean Safety in Southampton tomorrow. Checked out today and there is up to a a four-week turnaround on servicing as we all get ready for next season. Luckily the liferaft doesn't need a service this year but the firing mechanism in a couple of the jackets are close to expiry. Have also measured up for a cockpit table and Ed in the marina managed to find a 1/4inch brass nut with a Whitworth thread which I managed to drop in the bilge while cleaning out the fridge's seawater intake. They are like gold dust, so thank you Ed. Otherwise all is quiet on the good ship Topaz Rival and counting down the weeks until the mast is back on and off we go!
