Great fun yesterday when Beth, my niece, and Richard, her partner, brought their two boys down to the boat for a day on the water. Noah and Gus had done a bit of kayaking and waterboarding, but this was their first time on a big boat. Lovely weather with the sun shining and enough wind, but not too much. We went down the Harbour past all the naval ships and ferries and out into the Solent until we found Tenacious, the three masted ship of the Jubilee Sailing Trust, anchored between Gosport and Lee-on-Solent. Very much a small boy's idea of a proper sailing ship. Time to turn back to Portsmouth and head home. A good time was had by all. Thanks to Susan for looking after Tilly, deemed to be a bit too young for the trip.
