Heading south

The first 70 miles of the journey south are complete with a windy and bumpy ride from Lymington to Alderney. The nasty following sea caught up with me about half way with a bout of male de mer, but both Richard and Didi were fine. The advantage was that we flew along at the start averaging well over six knots. Picked up a mooring buoy in Braye Harbour around seven and caught the water taxi to shore for a welcome dog walk. We expect to leave this afternoon to catch the tide down to Guernsey - the alternative is a five am start tomorrow morning which none of us fancy very much!
