Left A Coruna after a night of thunderstorms (Buzz barking in response) and then lots of swell meaning very little sleep. Everyone checking their lines at 5 am as the boats were bouncing about quite wildly. Even though weather wasn’t perfect, I felt it was time to leave and so ventured out into what would have been a nice following wind were it not for a very lively swell which meant the sails only really set properly at 12 knots and above which didn’t seem to happen. So on with the engine and we bobbed up and down in the swell around to Corme, where we anchored next to a pretty beach only to be greeted with what seemed like heavy mortar fire - it was the local fiesta and they like to mark the occasion with big bangs at 9 am and 9 pm. Apart from that a peaceful place where we woke up to thick fog for the morning dog walk. It has cleared a little and the sun is out, so my mood is improving… Lovely fresh bread, hot from the bakery!
