Orcas or fishing pots?

We made it down the coast yesterday from Nazare to Cascais, around 66 miles, so a long day. As there was little wind and from the wrong direction if there was any, it was mainly motoring. You are then faced with a choice - you can go way offshore and miss the fishing pots liberally distributed in shallower water, but risk meeting the Orcas, or you can stay inshore and miss the Orcas but mix with the fishing pots. I opted for the fishing pots, but this means you have to stay alert all the time as they can appear from nowhere. We are talking about old mineral water bottles upside down in a long string - almost impossible to spot until it is almost too late. Luckily we escaped and arrived in Cascais in welcome sunshine to anchor in the bay.
