Merry Christmas

25 December 2022
Stephen and Kristina Hall
On 21st December 2022 I finally arrived in Sydney. Steve waited for me at the ferry terminal in Manly and, gentleman as he is, he took some of the more than 40 kg luggage.
Since then we have had easy days, walking up the hill for groceries and getting some bits and pieces done to get ready to head south.
Also, Steve is trying to brief me in the most important things I should know for sailing, such as “when you fall into the water, you’re dead”.
Tomorrow, Boxing Day, a few hours before the start of the Sydney to Hobart race, we will set sail. I am really looking forward to it, I assume, so is Steve, as he’s been here for more than two months now.
Looking at the weather forecast we will head to Eden first to let a southerly change through and then set sail again for either Tasmania or Flinders Island depending upon the weather window.
