Nun wird Aries Dream zur schwimmenden Hochzeitsanlage. Unsere Freunde Jim und Viket haben vorgestern geheiratet und nun beziehen Sie die enge Gästekabine.
In Kos angekommen, das übliche Prozedere mit Pass-Polizei, Zoll, Hafenamt und Marina. Hier hilft uns mal wieder wie in so vielen Jahren vorher Eren von der Fa. Mouratti Tours in Kos. Dank seiner Intervention geht alles schnell von statten und wir sind auch schon wieder ausklariert. Ein Giros bei Stavros, ein Dinner bei otto mezzo
und schon sind wir wieder auf dem Weg nach Astipalaya Ormos Vati. Dort angekommen liegen wir in der SO –Ecke vor Anker. Der Tag verabschiedet sich mit einem malerischen Regenbogen. Die Nacht ist ruhig und kein Wellenschlag stört.
Am nächsten Morgen um 07:00 geht der Anker auf und unser Ziel soll Anafi oder bereits Santorini sein.
In Pos. 36°20'496N; 025°47'437 passieren wir eine beleuchtete Einzelgefahrenstelle (IMRAY:Vrak Rokana) die nicht auf unserer NAVIONIX Gold verzeichnet ist.
Da Wind und Welle aus WEST ein ruhiges Liegen in der Bucht vor Akrotiri unmöglich machen, entscheiden wir uns für einen Boyenplatz in der Caldera vor der SCALA nach Thira.
Dienstag 06.05. Unsere Flitterwöchner werden an Land gebracht, wo sie sich nach Nutzung des Cablecars dem touristischen Treiben in der Malerischen Kulisse von Thira hingeben. Sie haben nur eine Aufgabe, das Päckchen für die Fa. Weatherdock AG zur Expresspost zu bringen, da unser AIS-System defekt ist. Das Liegen vor den riesigen Stahlbojen wird unangenehm, weil drehende Winde und Strömung das Boot immer wieder beachtlich nahe an die vor sich hinrostenden Kolosse bringt. Ich verlege das Schiff an eine zwischen Land und Boje gespannte Leine und habe erst mal Ruhe. Für alle Fälle lege ich noch den Anker mit Trippleine auf 30 m
Gegen 10 Uhr in der Nacht frischt der Wind auf. Wir liegen sicher. Irgendwann höre ich neben unserer Bordmusik ein leises Rufen. Im Suchscheinwerferlicht entdecken wir ein winziges Plasticboot mit einer winkenden Person. Unser Dingi ist achtern mit Motor angeleint und nachdem Ölzeug und Rettungsweste angelegt sind, fahre ich hinaus, bekomme sein Leinchen und schleppe ihn gegen seaspray und Wind in den Minihafen am Bootsanleger. Sein Kleiner 2-takt Quirl hat offensichtlich gestreikt. Eine Einladung zum Uzo lehne ich dankend ab und fahre zurück zum Boot.

Mittwoch Liegetag mit Abendessen am Anleger. Hier bekomme ich noch eine kleine Sirtaki Einlage eines Sängers., der bei der Eurovisionsveranstaltung 2006 den Preis gewonnen hat.
8. Mai. Starker Schwell und Wind aus Nord machen auch hier das Liegen problematisch und wir verlegen das Schiff in meine bei Nordwind bevorzugte Bucht vor den Ausgrabungen von Akrotiri.

Jim und Viket entscheiden sich noch heute Nacht die Fähre nach Kos zu nehmen und überlassen mir Ihren SMART- Mietwagen bis zum Samstag, 10. Mai 2014 um noch anstehende Provianteinkäufe und die Abholung meines nächsten Mitseglers
zu organisieren.
Now ARIES DREAM is turning in to a swimming wedding complex. Our friends Jim and Viket got married two days ago and move into the narrow guest cabin.
After arrival on Kos the standard procedure: Passport police, customs, port authority and Marina office. Thanks to Eren from Mouratti Tours, who are assisting us since many years to get all authority steps in a fast way, check-in and check-out is done within a short time. After having Gyros lunch at Stavros and later a dinner at the Restaurant Otto mezzo we head for Astipalaya Ormos Vathi. On arrival we anchor south east. A picturesque rainbow crowns the day.

Night is calm and no pounding of waves disturb. Next morning 7h anchors aweigh and off towards Anafi or maybe directly to Santorini.
At pos. 36°20'496N; 025°47'437 we pass by an iluminated hazard area (IMRAY:Vrak Rokana) which is not listed in our NAVIONIX Gold.
Due to a westerly with waves we cannot stay in the bay in front of Akrotiri and decide for a moored buoy within the Caldera in front of the Scala to towards Thira.

Tuesday May 6th, 2014
We take our “honey-mooners” ashore. They make use of the cable car and start drifting the tourist life in inhaling the beauty of the island.
They only have one task – to take a parcel to the Post office addressed to Weatherdock – Germany – our AIS is not functional.

To remain in front of the huge steel buoys is rather unpleasant. Owing to turning winds and the stream, the boat is pushed quite close towards the rusty colossuses. I change position and connect ARIES DREAM to a rope between buoy and shore and for now have peace of mind.
Just in case I also lay anchor with “guardrails” in 30 meter. Around 22h – freshening winds. We are safe.
Eventually next to our on-board-music-system I hear a silent calling voice.
With our search light we discover a small fibre boat with a waving person. Our motorized dinghy is attached aft and once putting on tarp and life vest I depart. After receiving his tiny rope I tow him against sea spray and wind to the mini harbor at the pier. His small outboard motor had apparently let him down.
I refuse an invitation for an Ouzo, wish him well and return to ARIES DREAM.

Wednesday – Resting day and dinner at the Jetty. Here I meet the winner of the Eurovision song contest 2006 who performs a Sirtaki especially for me.

Thursday May 8th, 2014
Strong swell and northerlies do not allow us to stay and we reposition to my favourite bay in front of the archeological site of Akrotiri.
Jim and Viket decide to take the night ferry to Kos and leave me with their SMART rental car until Saturday. This allows me to organize provisions as well as the pick-up of the next sailor expected tomorrow.
