Heading toward the Bahamas

Tomorrow, Sunday April 12, we leave USVI heading north and quite offshore at this point, an almost 700 mile journey, 5-6 days at sea (final waypoints and sail plan to arrive in the morning). Charlie has routed us this way to avoid some left over storms from a Northerly, plus sadly, we cannot visit or sail near Puerto Rican waters which would trigger importation into the US. We will still have rain around, and periods of calm and motoring until winds fill in. We hope to arrive into Great Exuma, George Town Bahamas Friday before more approaching Northerlies. We've been studying our charts and have identified a few small islands/bays where we could possibly anchor should our timing be off. We will need daylight and decent conditions to get into Great Exuma sound (actually anywhere in the Bahamas) because of many reefs and random submerged corals, plus shallow drafts.
