Through the Bay of Naples
13 June 2013 | POSITANO to SCARIO
Una
We left the island of Ischia and sailed through the Bay of Naples - a big disappointment due to the amount of plastic debris in the sea. We felt sorry for the dolphins and turtles we saw who have to deal with this environmental disaster of modern living.
Our anchorage for the night was in POSITANO situated below cliffs rising up above us with impossible looking roads carved out of the rocks above. A most impressive coastline.
The next morning we sailed on to SCARIO where we anchored beside the small fisherman's harbour and the beach.
We stayed here for two nights, spending some time in an internet café as we had failed completely to organize internet access on board 'Leesa Christina'.
The swimming was good though and the supermarket had everything we needed.
