Finally, after months of planning, making and ticking off lists, finding and resolving problems, spending money hand over fist...we are finally on board! We are not quite ready for the open sea yet...with a stowage challenge ahead of us, but finally the boat is our home and where we live. If I could find the camera I would take a picture, but if I can tell you we have just eaten a pre prepared that is 4 months out of date, and I am looking at tramping boots,toiletries, morphine and other controlled drugs, self raising flour and spare canvas, you might get the picture! Handed over the house and dog sit to Joni and Ken. Pity we couldn't spend more time getting to know them before we had to go. Right now, we are looking forward to our first night on board before heading to Nelson market in the morning to stock up with fruit and veg and then we head to sea proper! Yeeeeehaaaaaàa!
