Into the tropics

14 May 2014 | On passage 6
Barbara & Simon. Sunny
As of 0800, 15th May
Position:26' 42" S 170' 56" E
Speed: 6 knts
Direction: N
Weather: Sunny and clear, wind SE 15-20 knts

Definitely in the tropics now, with flying fish on the decks and masked boobies circling the boat. I can't believe how much flying fish fly...I always assumed they sort of leapt, but when you hear their wings...it's flight! Hot and sunny. After days of calm and making steady but slow progress, we are now heading in the right direction at 5-6 knts. Really enjoying the passage and looking forward to eating up the miles today.
