Arrival!

We have safely arrived at Anelghowhat Bay, Anatom, Vanuatu after a passage of 8 days and 21 hours! Glad to be at anchor after some very rough seas and gale force winds. Tuarangi was a star all the way. We covered 1065 miles - an average of exactly 5knts all the way, although this ranged from 2knts to the record we saw surfing off a wave of 11.4knts in the middle of the night..eeek!
It is a beautiful location, with wooded hills and palm trees with thatched cottages on the shore. Mystery Island is just to Starboard and the white surf on the reef is just ahead of us. Been drying out all our wet gear...got a tropical downpour of magnificent scale, conveniently about 2 miles off shore! Sunny and hot now, with a good breeze, so everything drying quickly.
It is Sunday, so we can't clear customs until tomorrow, so are flying our quarentine flag, along with the courtesy flag for Vanuatu. We therefore can't yet go ashore, but are more than happy to get the boat sorted, have a wash and a swim and catch up on some much needed sleep...
Once we get internet, we will post some photos.
