Day 5 Tasman Sea
14 March 2015
Simon & barbara
A bit of a confused sea last night, made for a bit of a bumpy ride for a while, but things have settled this morning. Made good progress in fresh winds. All set up now for approaching cold front, with a forecast N - S change, by putting up the trisail, the first time we have used it on the whole voyage. The front has just come over as I write! Good planning! Over half way now and happy to turn our chart over, leaving Australia behind and heading towards NZ. Saw our first vessel this morning since leaving Tasmania. A large bulk carrier heading across in front of us at a distance of 5 miles.
