Day 9 Tasman Sea
19 March 2015
Simon & Barbara
Finally, this morning the sea was calm, with along slow swell behind us, the sky was blue and the sun was shining. We spent the morning catching up on sleep and trying to start the process of drying things out and attending to some, much needed, personal hygiene. Simon had a shower on deck and had on clean dry clothes for about 1 minute, before a sudden wind change brought the wind and a new swell straight out of the east..the direction we are heading...and necessitating reefing the main sail. Suffice it to say, that within 2 minutes, his salt free status was over. Still hoping to be in Nelson sometime over Friday night or on Saturday.
