Hi this is the first entry on our new blog site. We, Alan and I, own a 12m yacht called Talitha, a Shearwater 39. We are getting ready to leave NZ on Talitha around the 21st May. Heading for Gladstone in Australia and then on to Darwin to join the Darwin/Kupang rally which leaves on the 21st July.
Yesterday was my last day teaching, I'll be sensitive and not say how great the feeling was leaving teaching as some of my now ex colleages will probably read this!! I have been looking forward to this day for a while, it was also Alan's last day working as a builder so it was a day to celebrate but and there had to be a but. When I arrived home relaxed and stress free I found out that my soon to be 90year old mother-in-law fell over and broke her leg in the early hours of yesterday morning.So the plans of working on Talitha over the long Easter weekend have to change. Like cruising plans are always changing.
