Departure date getting closer.

Kiaora
Talitha now has shiny new rigging one of the many things we have had to do to prepare for our departure. The new SSB is nearly installed like a lot of other tasks, on the to do list, nearly complete. But Alan keeps maintaining we are on track, I'm not entirely convinced..yet.
The new rig installation went very smoothly thanks to Bruce Elliott and his team at Mast and Spar services. We spent 2 days tied along side his work pontoon at Westhaven and while they worked on the rig we took out the chainplates, checked (with expert advice from Bruce) resealed and bolted them ready for the new rigging. We then had to clean all the excess silicon off our selves, the chainplates and the paintwork inside the lockers. We seemed to get it everywhere!! We had to empty out lockers to get to the chainplates so we spent 2 days shifting the contents of 6 lockers around the boat so we could get at other lockers!!It was worth the effort as we can now go off happy that the rig is strong.
Alan's mother is still in hospital complete with a new rod in her leg. She seems to be recuperating well.
