3days 10 hours after leaving Darwin we arrive at the Kupang anchorage. The last 10 miles were spent dodging lit and unlit fishing boats at night. The sailing had been excellent most of the way a few hours motoring the first night but not much more. Taking time to adapt to Indonesian time, money, heat and bartering for everthing. The only set price is for the dinghy boys on the beach 25000Rp for looking after the dinghy for the day. about $NZ4. Dinner for two cost us 70000Rp. It took a day to clear customs and through all the officials, we were lucky some boats waited nearly two days. There is lots of paper and many officials sifting through it all. But we are cruisers, lots of time,eh!!
Next few days are busy touring and dining with the Governor so more to follow.
