OK it had to happen, we are now through Paris and on the River Marne but in getting there we have succeeded in removing the foward section of the port section of the hand rail. So we have stoped at Nogent sure Marne for a bit of wood work !! and a paint and varnish job. The lock keeper decided that the lock was not filling fast enough and we could not hold her, the rope tangled over thr hand rail and that was that. Still nobody was hurt.
