Few thunder storms. Hot and sunny.
We have now reached the end of the navigable part of the Marne. From Epernay, where we are now, it becomes the Canal de La Marne, Eventually leadind up tp Reims where we hope to meet Patricia`s sister and husband.
The journey from Nogent, where we did the repairs, has taken us through a larg part of The Champagne region with each village or town having different Champagne Houses. We have stoped in the following; Lagny, Heaux, Mary Sure Marne, La Ferte-Sons- Jouarre, Chateaux Thierry, Rieul (Realy Beautiful), Damery, and now Epernay. All different with their own character. Mary Sur Marne had the most wonderful Resterant where we had a great evening meal.
The main draw back so far has been the total lack of refueling facilities, it has only been possibile to get fule by 5 gal cans. More later.
