estuck in locks and tornados

10 June 2011 | 40 11.79N 004 08.27E
Very hot.Tornadoes.
Since we last bloged (If there is such a word) we have had oe or two adventures !! To start with we got stuck in a lock at Tour, it half filled and then stoped. It took an hour for us to contact anybody, but they turned up eventually and let us out. Then on up to Conde-sur- Marne for the night, very quiret and peasfull.
The next day we started an 8 lock climb up to the Billy le Grand Tunnel, 2.5 Kilom long. Only to find that lock no 3 was broken so there we stayd for 20Hrs untill 07.00Hrs the next day. It was the most fantastic "stay" we have had. Way out in the middle of the country very quiret. At least it was untill about 4pm, we thaught it was getting a bit darh, there had been thunder for at least an hour, I hapened to look up and there it was (see pics) the most incredible cloud formation I have ever seen !!?? there was no avoiding it so i took some pics and quickly battened down the hatches and said a quiret prayer. (will continue next blblog)
