En route to Santa Marta
23 December 2013 | North of Colombia
Chris
We are five miles north of the most northern point in South America, in the far north east of Columbia. Passage so far has been good with good winds, occasional squalls and the terrifying appearance just south of Aruba of a small tornado, a water-spout not quite reaching the surface, on the leading edge of a vicious squall. Prompt evasive action put us about 300m away! A bit close for comfort.
Anyway, all is well and we should arrive Santa Marta on Christmas Eve sometime.
