Two months on...Phuket and now home!

Well, after the kids left, we had visits from Judy and Barry, Rog and Lou and finally Simon and Elaine. Much fun and sailing and exploring.
Tulu hauled out on Tuesday, and is safely tucked up for the next three months as we fly out tomorrow for a long UK break, including Jonno and Bex's wedding in April.
Cant wait to see everyone at home.
Nai Yang Bay
30 December 2015 | Nai Yang Bay, North West Phuket Island
Chris
The most northerly and quietest bay so far. Calm anchrorage, good beach landing, good restaurants and bars, five minutes from the airport...what more could you aks for? And not too many tourists.
Our final two days with the kids here have been great with Jonno and Bex departing on New Years Eve, and Will and Charlotte following on New Years Day morning....sad to see them go, but really brilliant time whilst they were here.
We will spend a couple of days here chilling before heading back a round the south and up to the marina for boat jobs over the next few weeks.
Surin Beach

At the northern end of Kamala Bay, Surin beach is a pretty anchorage with many resorts and restaurants ashore set back from the beach.
Sadly, the location was spoilt by thumping nightclub music late in to the night. We shall not return to this spot although there may be options within the bay a bit further from the source of the noise. A shame really.
Kata Beach

A short way up the west coast of Phuket to a nice anchorage at the southern end of Kata Bay. A few too many jetskis, but a delicious dinner ashore at the famous Boathouse courtesy of our children...what a treat!
Nai Harn Bay

A bumpy sail around the south of Phuket in a building easterly breeze has brought us to shelter of the western coast at the southwestern bay of Nai Harn.
Pretty with a jetty and good restaurants ashore.
Christmas Day at Six Senses, Koh Yao Noi

Yoga for the girls, tennis for the boys, and massages all around, followed by swimming at the Hilltop Restaurant and lunch in a private room overlooking the eastern islands towards Krabi....wonderful.
